Wild lime tree is one important host plant for the giant swallowtail butterfly. The leaves are alternate, pinnately compound, with a conspicuously winged rachis; leaflets numbering seven to nine, obovate to ovate, 3/4" long, margins crenate on at least the upper half of the leaflet. Flowers: yellow green and very small. Fruit: a dry, black, shiny seed in a brownish husk. Distribution: hammock areas.
