* Description: The threadlike, whorled leaves of this rhizomatous species are a helpful key to identification. It reaches 2' tall, with leaves that are 2"-3" long and about 1/8" wide. Flowers may be white or tinged greenish white to pinkish brown with sickle-shaped, white to pinkish horns that are curved inward. Seedpods measure 3"-4" long and 1/2" wide, splitting open along one side to release seeds to the wind.
