* Description: It is also known as pinewoods milkweed and pink-veined milkplant. This bold milkweed has large, opposite, clasping, ovate leaves with pink veins. The leaves are sometimes purple. The stems are lax but may ascend to 18" tall, with leaves that average 5"-7" long and 3"-4" wide. Flowers are in umbels with white hoods and tan to pinkish, reflexed sepals. The 3"-5" pods are typically paired and stand erect, spitting when mature to release seeds to the wind.
