White Peacock Butterfly and their Host Plants

The White Peacock butterfly is a white butterfly with dark lines and orange shading. There is a small black spot near the middle of the forewing. The hindwing has two black spots and a very short tail. The sexes are similar, but females are larger with broader wings. 

Larva: The caterpillar is black with tiny white dots. A row of branched spines lies across each body segment. The bases of the spines are dull red. The head has a pair of long slender spines at the top. These spines are knobbed at the tip.

Pupa: The pupa is bright green with some tiny black spots and a black cremaster.
