Description: This unmistakable species produces a 2'-3' rosette of stiff, swordlike, sharp-tipped leaves to 30" long and 4" wide, with curled filaments along the margins. Flowering spikes can reach 6'-8' tall, with large panicles of showy, creamy white nodding flowers, each about 2" long.

Habitat/ Range: Sandhills and dry forests from Maryland and Kentucky, south through Central Florida.
