Common fig is one of the most important host plant for Ruddy Daggerwing butterfly. The leaves are alternate, simple, entire, thick, leathery, dark shiny green, around 5" long. Flowers: small and inconspicuous at the leaf axils. Fruit: without stalks, globular, fleshy, around 1" in diameter.
